I have not blogged for myself in forever! So much has changed and my life couldn't be better right now! My job is great! Business is really picking up and that is good for everyone! The economy is finally coming around! I worked for Chenal Country Club for 6 months as a bartender and loved it! I made so many great friends who have left to pursue their life careers in other states as well as met several members who have become great friends! I left Chenal this month to dable back in the world of waiting tables again. I'm now part of The Butcher Shop family here in Little Rock. They are great people to work for and with. The money is great and not to mention the FOOD! In January I moved out of my stinky apartment into a fabulous home in the Hillcrest! It's perfect! With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and a wonderful fenced in backyard, Sunny and kitties are so happy! It's definitely more space than I need but I utilize it all for sure! My precious grandparents purchased new (gently used) furniture for me and my awesome Mom has been adding rugs, art, and other knick knacks that have made my house more of a home! Not to mention Molly and Kevin helping me get things in order. I've been so blessed and 2011 has started out fantastic! School is going great! Taking a break this semester and it was much needed. I will pick back up in the fall!

Good Advice

I received some really good advice tonight and I've decided that I'm not going to fight fire with fire. Since honesty is the best policy and we should treat others the way we want to be treated I'm not going to let any of this bother me. Business is business and that's way it will be handled. I was raised better than to be so smart mouthed and I know that I haven't done anything to create this huge drama! All is good and the truth will unfold itself.

True Friends

I'm so lucky I have friends who are willing to stick there neck out or put their job on the line to stay friends with me. Folks, those are true friends. To my friends who have stuck by me, thank you. Please know I appreciate it you more than you know and I am always here no matter what!

A Better Day

Ok, I feel so much better. I got that off my chest last night and now I know that I really have nothing to worry about. I don't fear anyone or anything but I do have respect for myself!

So where do I go from here? I've decided that I need focus on what's important: God, family, friends, work, and school. I'm seriously considering taking the summer off but I don't want to get behind. I'm so lucky to have the best people in my life right now that keep me grounded and remind me daily on the positive things in my life. We all need that from time to time. So the quote for today is for my friends: "Friendship is like peeing your pants. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth." Ponder that one!

Reading Makes My World Stand Still (Cheesey I know)

During the week of spring break I had a lot of free time on my hands. I picked up some reading. It's good for ya! Well I was at a friends house and happened to pick up her Twilight book. Now these books are not small by any means. I'd already seen the first 2 movies and was curious as to how the other 2 would play out. I took the book home on a Sunday and by Tuesday I'd bought it online and finished it by Friday! I was so into it I went out and bought the 4th book! I can't put them down! What is it about reading that takes our mind away from everything around us? It's like I leave this earth when I'm reading and nothing around me matters. I've never thought of it that way until now? I never was a big reader but when I do find something that interests me I guess I get carried away.
